Adams Teak Terms & Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions apply only to orders placed via the Adams Teak website, Official Instagram, Meta Page/Store or via telephone orders placed with the team. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. Your continued use of this website constitutes your agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions which shall also govern all transactions on the website or over the telephone to the exclusion of any other terms and conditions.

G Adams Trading ltd  trading as Adams Teak  (“Adams Teak”, “we”, or “us”) reserves the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time without notice to you &any changes will take effect on the day they are posted. Any such changes will be posted on this section of the website and your continued use of the website constitutes your agreement to be bound by the prevailing terms and conditions.

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully as use of and/or buying from adamsteak.co.uk website means that you will be bound by them.

Return Policy:

Standard returns

Items must be returned to us in a fully resalable condition, which means unused and in or with their original packaging.

We cannot accept returns for items that have been used to a non-resalable state, this includes items that have been treated (e.g. painted, stained or varnished).

Small cracks or end grain chipping are a natural occurrence and do not affect the strength or integrity of your furniture.

Adams Teak reserves the right to refuse a refund or exchange on items deemed as not resalable. Items must be returned to us within 14 days of receipt and an Email must be sent stating your Order ID number & the reason for request of Return.

Returned goods will be collected by us within 3 weeks or earlier. You can arrange your own return. We recommend you return goods either tracked or recorded as we cannot be held responsible for missing goods or items damaged in transit, please be aware we are not responsible for return postage costs which must be met by you, the customer.

Damages, Faults & shortages

It is rare for items to get damaged in transit but accidents can happen and occasionally there may be a packing error resulting in a shortage.

Our furniture is handmade to the highest quality but in the unlikely event that you have a problem with your item or receive faulty or damaged goods, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt It is important that you inspect your item and are happy with it before you assemble notify Adams Teak at the earliest convenience.

It is vital that all orders are checked on delivery and we are notified of any damages or shortages within 48 hours. In these cases it is best to call us to lets us know, Once you have notified us ensure your email includes photographs and your order number. We cannot take responsibility for non-delivery of an email thus you must ensure you have sent is to the correct email; Info@adamsteak.co.uk.

If it is not possible to check the item at the time of delivery for any reason, then please let us know so that we can discuss the risks involved if the item is not being checked.

Refunds:

Refunds can be done immediately on-site. However, be aware that it can take up to 7 working days to reflect and be visible in your account.

Pricing:

All prices quoted are in British pounds (£) and will add Value Added Tax (VAT) within the Basket. If the price goes up or down in between you placing and receiving your order, we will honour the original price.

Ordering & Stock Availability:

We aim to display only items that are in stock, and which can be dispatched to you quickly. From time to time we may sell out of some lines, in which case we will aim to advise you  upon placing your order on the turnaround timeline. If this does occur, you will be given the opportunity to order an alternative or receive a full refund for the full price you paid.

Bulk & Large Quantity Ordering:

We have the capability to create and provide Custom bulk/ Large quantity orders which can be arranged via telephone and email. This will be arranged directly with the Warehouse which will generate a custom invoice and delivery times.

Delivery:

The delivery times shown on our site are estimates only which are guaranteed delivery within 3 weeks of purchase. Deliveries will most likely be quicker however when delayed for reasons that are out of the control of Us  and our Team we will notify you at the earliest chance.

Cancellation:

Orders can be cancelled by emailing info@adamsteak.co.uk stating the order reference. Credit / Debit cards will be refunded within 7 working days. If an order has been dispatched or delivered and the cancellation is due to the item no longer being required, then we will collect the item for a charge of sum of £25 which is taken from the refund.

In the instance of damaged or faulty product, we will arrange to exchange the item for a replacement of the same model. We will retain the faulty product for the need of determining the cause of the fault. Customer must ensure to make best effort in covering the item &or placing back in the packaging when possible. To speed the process up we will ask for images of the fault, if it is a visible problem.

Please note that if one or more items are returned for a refund &the remaining items on the order would have incurred a delivery charge then this charge will need to be deducted from the refund value.

Pre-Orders:

Adams Teak aims to fulfil any pre-orders made but reserves the right to cancel or modify any pre-order made via the website or telephone, without notice.

We will not be held liable for any costs that may have been incurred as a result of cancelling or modifying the pre-order.

Guarantee:

This guarantee excludes damage resulting from accident, alteration, misuse, abuse or normal weathering Any offered warranty does not cover defects caused by the application of teak oil, varnish or wood stain. The warranty does not apply to furniture which has been placed on an uneven surface which as a result has caused the table to warp or caused opening/closing mechanical problems. For maximum longevity of your furniture your teak furniture should be placed on an even surface.

Warranties:

We aim to deliver goods of the highest quality. Where the Goods are products we warrant that they will meet their specification.

Waiver:

Every effort has, is and will be taken to ensure that the information contained in this site is correct and up to date. The information may, however, become incomplete, inaccurate or out of date. To the full extent permitted by law, but subject to the terms and conditions of sale referred to below, we disclaim all warranties and representations (whether implied or expressed) as to the accuracy of any information contained on this website.

For the purposes of these terms and conditions, the following definitions apply.

  • The contract for sale by us and purchase of Goods by you.
  • The range of garden products which are available for purchase from this site in accordance with the terms.

The content of this website is owned and licensed by Adams Teak. You may view or print individual pages only for your own personal use. There is Date of Publication  and Update Version at the top and bottom of the page.

Limitation of liability:

Adams Teak is not liable for any damages or losses resulting from your use of or inability to use this website. Adams Teak does not guarantee that this website will operate free of error or that it is free from computer viruses or any other contaminating computer program.

We will not be liable to you or in breach of the Contract for delay or failure to perform due to any causes beyond the reasonable control of Adams Teak or its suppliers, including, but not limited to, acts of God, civil commotion, industrial dispute, riots, flood, and legislation.

Main characteristics of goods:

Every item on adamsteak.co.uk will be accompanied with an appropriate description and by a representative image.

In some cases the product may vary from the image displayed where the manufacturer has updated the packaging or improved the look of the product without informing us. Also note that colours can vary due to conditions at the time photography, possible natural variations in colour and also the setup and model of your computer monitor.

During transportation, changes in humidity and temperature may cause furring, where a dust can be present on the furniture, this is a perfectly natural occurrence and can simply be wiped off with a damp cloth.

When your teak furniture is delivered New it has a golden colour but will naturally weather over a short period of time to a light grey patina becoming silver in colour within 2-7 years. This ageing process does not affect the quality of the product and is simply a result of the bleaching effect of the sun and weather. It is very easy to clean your Teak furniture  by simply washing with warm soapy water or applying a teak cleaner.

Cracks on the furniture, particularly on the arms, of the benches and chairs are again caused by changes in humidity and temperature, and will also have no lasting effects on the furniture.

Changes to the terms:

Adams Teak reserves the right to remove, modify or change, without notice, any information on this website from time to time. Adams Teak may change these terms at any time by posting notice of the changes on the website. If you use the website after Adams Teak has posted the changes you will be bound by the new terms. You should therefore ensure that you read the terms each time you use the website.

General:

E-mails to you will be sent to the address you specify to us. You must only provide us with a valid e-mail address, and it is your responsibility to inform us of any changes to that address.

To the extent that any provision of these terms is found by any court or authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be deemed not to be a part of these terms and will not affect the enforceability of the remainder of these terms, nor will it affect the validity, lawfulness or enforceability of that provision in any other jurisdiction.

The headings in these terms are for convenience only and do not affect their interpretation.

These terms supersede any representation made by us or any of our employees or agents.

Statutory Rights:

The consumer’s contract with Adams Teak does not affect the consumer’s statutory rights.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction:

These terms and your use of this website are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be decided only by the Courts of England and Wales.

Data Protection & Privacy:
